Compact X-ray inspection system for packaged food
This Ishida IX-EN-2493-S is an X-ray inspection system built in 2015 by the Japanese manufacturer Ishida. It detects high-density foreign bodies in packaged products, such as ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, glass, stone and bone. The tunnel is 240 mm wide and 150 mm high, the belt runs at a variable 10 to 60 m/min and handles products up to 5 kg and from 20 to 450 mm long.
The machine is built in stainless steel (SUS304), has an IP66-rated inspection chamber and is operated via a 15-inch touchscreen. The line sensor has a resolution of 0.4 mm. Actual detection sensitivity depends on the product, its dimensions, the packaging and where the contaminant sits.
